About Me

If streaming arrived earlier, I'd probably be a professional gamer. Instead, I was a bad Korean that grew up in New Jersey, played sports and video games, and hung out with friends. While everyone was on a path to somewhere in college, I was lost. A friend recommended to me to start writing and blogging about things (because that's a career path you try when you're failing at school). I walked through that door and never looked back. Jersey raised me and NYC pushed me.

I've worked in tech, start-ups, agencies, and mission-driven organizations. I co-founded The Observers, a publication on photographers and photobooks. I've worked at COLLINS, CreativeMornings, and The altMBA. Currently, I'm the Principal Brand Strategist at Mixpanel.

My non-linear career path allowed me to pick up skills that help brands find their voice, build community, unlock stories, and differentiate themselves from a sea of sameness.

I consider myself very lucky. Where I've worked, the people I've worked with — and learned from — and the projects I've had the privilege to be a part of, colored my world and enabled me to be useful.

At the heart of my work is uncovering language and stories that only the brand can tell. Building strategies where great work is built from. It's about going from words to works. It is design.

Everything I do is made-up. And I do it with a thoughtful craft, intense focus, real talk collaboration, and imagination.
